The Status Quo
« on: July 30, 2010, 08:00:12 AM »
Well, for my further RP, I'll summarize some facts, how Sirius is ruled by now and I'd like you to correct me, if I am wrong.

First: Liberty, Rheinland and Bretonia have somewhat of an alliance  between their Houses.

Second: Kursari was overrun by Outcasts (with little help from the Blood Drgaons) and then they gave Kursari over to the Blood Dragons. Kursari is now known as Empire of the rising Sun with the Blood Emperor on its top.

Third: The Corsairs were reformed and are now somewhat of friendly to the rest of the Houses and seem to want their rightful "House" Status back.
Outcasts are still terrorist and want to destroythe Houses through Cardamine-smuggle.

Fourth: The Order is still operating against Nomad and Nomad Cultists.

Fifth: Nomad Cultists are the remains of nomad supporters within the 4 great Houses. They want to help the nomads gaining control over the human race and Sirius.

Now some facts about the lore.

Rheinland wants to claim the borderworlds between Liberty and Rheinland aswell claiming the Omega Sector and Sigma-13.

Bretonia seeks to gain control over the TAU System.

Liberty needs to expand and gain control over some habitable plantes...

Kursari, well Kursari had his civil war and the Empire of the Rising Sun needs to stabilize their power within kursari.

Some facts about Corsairs and Cults:

The Corsairs seek to combine the human body with as many as possible technical "upgrades" creating nearly cyborgs.

The Cultists seek not to combine Nomad Lifeform with human lifeform.

Ramz edit: fixed title spelling.

That all seems pretty spot on to me yes. Don't think that any of those situations are as simple as single sentances though, lol. Is confirmation what you're asking for?

In canon, there's no mention of the Corsairs pursuing cybernetic enhancements. I'm assuming that's what you meant by "facts about the lore" but in this case, you're incorrect.

The Outcasts are more of an empire than a band of criminals and terrorists. While this may still very much be the case, they've evolved, as a group, beyond that here.

While the Corsair Reformers currently control the overall government, there are dissidents within their ranks. The Legion is one such example.

The Nomad Cult is a disorganized group of Nomad supporters. They come in all shapes and sizes, from somewhat religious fanatics to more of a Nomad symbiont style. They were intentionally left ambiguous so as to allow for ANY style of Nomad play that the playerbase may want to do, aside from the Nomads themselves.

And it's ... *twitch* ... Rheinland.

I would also advise against combining vanilla lore to factions that have come under player control. Since SWWT is an extension of the storyline, we're pretty much writing where DA left off for ourselves.

Also, Rheinland, Liberty and Bretonia are in a full-blown, organized alliance.

Well it is not vanilla lore, since it is written down in SWWT history. The situtation may have been changed since SWWT release, but, if no one would claim the Houses as factions it would be SWWT lore, am I right?

Wait, we want Hudson and Bering?
Well in cannon: "The frozen planet of Atka was once targeted to be terraformed by the Liberty government [yadda yadda]. That plan is currently on hold until the system can be made more secure for commerce."
And up untill a month ago Rheinland and Liberty had no official ties, what's more a few months before that Rheinland were at war with Liberty and Bretonia. You'd have expected some sort of plan to deprive Liberty of the planet that it needs in order to expand, even if it's been dropped in the current, drawn out, 'crisis'.

The situation has changed lots since the information in the welcome section was devised which is part of the reason i put together a history that is regularly updated.

Are you trying to continue the storyline with Sean Ashcroft from the SP...bc i remember him just being a Artifact smug who "disappeared" under LSF custody after he was captured by Trent and King.

I also have some questions on the RP storyline since we're on the topic:

Outcast and Nippon relation - I understand that the alliance between those 2 ousted the former Shogunate govt from the singleplayer, but how are the relationship between the 2 now? I recall on previous topics ppl saying they are staunch allies, one said that Outcast cardiforming was a big middle finger to the Nippons, others say that they arent as close anymore with a cordial relationship...whats the deal? And what stance does Nippon take in terms of Kusari civs getting wiped out and experimented on by their OC "allies" in planets Honshu and Kyushu?

CRF - Ok the vanguard to "House Hispania", how seriously are the other houses taking their claims as a legitimate House. I read that tensions are lessening between Corsairs and Bretonnia bc of the CRF, but are the possibilities of peace between Corsairs (not counting Legion) and the BN feasible or is it just a RP element to highlight attempts to "reform" the Corsairs under the CRF.

Cultists - Just to make sure, are players allowed a cultist pc faction? been seeing a few cultist and nomad alts but no one has recently attempted a cultist faction. It would help to add more war torn chaos and help to branch out the RP storyline...esp with the Order  ;D

yea. if i ever get the chance to enter liberty with Rp. il start Rp-ing that theres rumors were he went or something and do a long story of what happen to him.

seeing how the story didnt say if he had a son or not. i thought it best to use that name and care out Rp that his son was in LWB and recently became the leader of the LWB and changed there goal somewhat.

really just extend that part of the story.

Our relationship with Nippon is 'Status Quo' ?

Also that is classified information to wich you are not privy.

I suppose it's your business to know everything about us, Swordsman?  ::)

@Kaal- If you didn't hear it from us directly, then it most likely isn't entirely correct, or is misconstrued/twisted.
