Epic Moments
« on: March 10, 2010, 12:21:14 AM »
Just curious, what has been your (as in whoever reads this :P) most epic/funny/awesome/[putwhatimissedherepl0x] moment on the server.
(ive seen other threads like this on other forums and decided to start one too :P)

Epic/Funny: Mid battle i hit someone and we both exploded. :P

Your turn.

From SWWT? The first time I killed multiple opponents without taking any hull damage. From Asgard? The battle where my battleship (which hardly qualified for the name) won out over 4 other highly skilled fighter pilots who had just smeared the other guys on my side.

Wing Commander Privateer, New Oxford system. Dogfight resulted in less than 5% hull, no shield (shield generator gone), no guns (all gone), 1 operational torpedo launcher with no warheads left, no radar/targeting/ITTS (can't remember which, maybe all), no propulsion (engine gone) except for afterburners (thrusters) and an old auto-repair bot which managed to repair the afterburner from busted to working condition. It's an "I spit, I die" situation. The mission? Freighter escort; that's why I don't like escort duties. The rewards? Storyline continued and a never ending satisfaction.

This is a good example, it's a battle at the alaska jump gate where about ten freelancers took on a Nomad (a good nomad I might add) and it was a great scrum. I even survived it :D I don't remember if the nomad ran off without killing me or we actualy managed to kill him though..

This one takes the cake by far though :D

This isn't from SWWT but it's so awesome; it's possibly one of the most epic screenshots I've ever taken. Made one awesome signature that one did :)

Hmmm I don't think I've really had an Epic moment in SWWT yet and if I have, I don't remember.

Being a pirate in a PVP based server was always fun

Back in a private server that didn't take off for obvious reasons (Yes..those are nukes) Funny thing about those explosions is that they lasted for a really long time..as in you could shoot them, leave the system for ten minutes, come back and they'd still be shining.

My best memories of freelancer were on this server It was a server a friend set up that was running freeworlds. A couple of buddies from school and I all got together and started a Galatic Empire faction and, from week one, friggin' dominated that server. Each member ( we had about 7 or 8 ) could make at least 4 PVP kills on their own and we had the [NR] (New Republic) on the ropes for most of our time there. Unfortunately the Freeworlds devs caught wind of server running there mod and asked for it to be taken it down. It was great fun.

I live an epic moment right now....playing this game/mod every day along side super-people[Warning ass - :-*] I'm a freelancer fanatic player: how many of you play the vanila game anymore? After a previous mod was shut down I did finish the vanila several times.
My all time (must say short time) epic moment here was in Kyushu along side and because a certain Dragon.  ;)
My all time ever moment was in "shhh" mod, me in faction ship with special guns trying to kill my bro "rubberfingers" Alex in a Cruental (if the name is right): "In range. Fire! Oh No!!! bats/botssssss BOOOOMM!" 2-3 seconds,  top - LOL

The most epic battle I can think of was when I was in the LN, it started of as 2 LN vs a couple of pirates outside Rochester... then through a series of incredible coincidences another 4 or 5 LN players happened to show up in quick succession to join in. Unbelievable I know, but it really was a coincidence. :P And what happens next?

The two pirates win.

Sounds more like epic fail than epic, right? What makes this moment so great for me, and yet so incredibly ironic... was that I was one of the two pirates. ;D

Never did tell the LN that, though. ;)

On SWWT, that'd be one of the LN-RHM fights back when both factions were at their peak of activity. The combats were really big and frantic, it was truly something to behold!

Overall, though, I'd say any TE on FLCE was something so unbelieveably epic it was a unique experience. 20+ people in a single system battling it out over a 100k+ battlefield with missiles at a 25k range and guns at a 15k range makes for one helluva fight.

SWWT When I was LN and 3 of us were attacked by 5 pirates. Cant remember who all was there just that we got our butts handed to us and my stubborn arse didn't go down for 20mins against the remaining 4 pirates.

Asgard. When I was atacked by 4 Kusari naval forces (cant remember the faction name). I figured it was going to be a short fight ending with my inevitable demise. It ended up being over 2 hours and I was the last one standing.

I have several more but thought I'd keep it short.  ;D

(Naming no names) When attacking Kusari with someone else from the BN, the other with me was destroyed, and a couple of my weapons had been destroyed but I managed to kill both Kusari pilots (one KE, one Freelancer).

Last night Jackal and I ran into each other at Norfolk shipyard, we battled around it  flying through the supports and around the battleship that under construction for what seemed like forever and in the end I went down to npc fire :/
but it was the most epic fight I've ever been a part of.

Epic moments for Voodoo.. Hmm..

- The first time I made it to Zeta - B without getting wasted by Nomads or Cult. I managed to attack the facility and kill a dozen Nomad fighters before my ship was destroyed. This was an epic moment  ;D

- The following was in-game (main server) testing done a while back. Some were ingame and nearby to see these, many however didn't get the chance so here's another peek at a few coming Battleships. This is the Bretonian BS..

- This is the Kusari BS..

- This is the Liberty BS..

- Flying patrol with mah homey..

- A fun fight I watched long ago. I have had so many epic moments in battle during my time here at SW::WT..

- Another fun fight..
