But it is important that all players follow the simple rules we have in place.

Factions and ClansAre there any Faction Rules? - Yes, the Faction/Clan Creation Rules describe everything you need to know. The next few points below are all covered in the above post, however a brief explanation will be given here as well.
What are the differences between player-created Factions and Clans?- A Faction is a player-created group whose roleplay is linked with that of a specific NPC faction in game. For example, the Liberty Nation, using the [L] tag in game, represents the Liberty Navy and fights piracy and smuggling in Liberty. Samura uses [Samura] and represents the Samura NPC faction, and is a major shipping group based in Kusari.
- A Clan is a group of players which do not represent any specific faction in game. For example, the Cutthroat Pirates, using the <CTP> tag, are pirates who "rob, steal, and plunder whatever they can".
How do I start a Faction or Clan? - First, check out our Guide to Creating a Faction/Clan Document. Secondly, once you have a document, you will want to Advertise Your Faction/Clan before you tag up on the server. Remember, you need 3 active members in order to use a tag on the server. Lastly, after you have your 3 member minimum, you will need to post your document in the Faction Approval forum. An Admin will read over your document, and if all is well, approve your faction.
What does it mean to be an "Approved" faction or clan? - Approved factions and clans are allowed to tag up on the server, start roleplaying, and have fun. They can have any number of members, but can not officially claim bases or participate in the Conquest Model.
What does it mean to be an "Established" faction or clan? - Established factions can claim a primary base, and also claim secondary bases, and can participate in the Conquest Model.
What is the Conquest Model? - The Conquest Model is a system designed for established factions to claim and conquer additional bases, and bases belonging to other established factions.
How do I join a Faction or Clan? - Read the faction or clan document you are interested in and message their leader or one of their members! Be sure to talk to some of their members in game before joining.
